Babies and Children Look So Cute in These Sunflower Costumes
I grew up in Kansas, so I have a special fondness for sunflowers. Apparently, lots of people share that love of sunflowers as there are quite a few outfits and costumes for children and babies with a sunflower theme. Turn your little sunshine into a cute sunflower for Halloween or another special occasion with these clever costumes for babies and kids.
I’ve added some tips for making a sunflower costume for adults too as there seemed to be a need for this.
Look at the ready-made costumes below. The first one is for a photo shoot only, not for going trick or treating. Don’t worry about baby getting a chill when snuggled in this colorful bunting sunflower outfit. The petals frame the face. Don’t forget to take pictures to post on Facebook and to save in the family album or scrapbook.
Dress the whole family as sunflowers. Maybe dad could dress as a farmer or gardener in overalls and a straw hat and have a group costume of sunflower kids. You could even dress the family dog as a sunflower.
You can assemble your own costume with these accessories. If you already have a green shirt and slacks, use those for a base or a green dress or green leotard. Then add sunflower touches as you want to get the look. Most of these can be used for other occasions besides for Halloween, so that makes them economical.
You can get yellow tissue paper or yellow crepe paper at a discount store. Look in the craft section. Tissue paper is wonderful to work with. It can be shaped and glued to make your sunflower petals to encircle the neck or the head or even to put around the waist.
