Stained glass art panels are beautiful additions to your home decor. They are available in a myriad of colors, subjects, and styles. Place them where they can catch the light and they will be stunning conversation pieces.

I always find myself lingering in a craft booth featuring this kind of art. Then I tear myself away as they can be frightfully expensive. Now I’ve found some reasonably priced stained glass art panels available online. Hurrah!

Whether you would like playful dolphins, birds, or butterflies, they are all gorgeous. You can get Tiffany style, mission style or free-form art and they are all filled with color and catch the light to bring delight to you every day. Stained glass art panels make wonderful gifts as well.

Tiffany Style Stained Glass Panels

The examples below use the style made famous by the artist Louis Tiffany in the 1880s through the early 1900s in the Art Nouveau style. A few years ago, I toured the  Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park, Florida which contains an amazing collection of the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany. If you love the beautiful panels you see below, you will want to plan on visiting this museum someday to see the original pieces. I marveled at the intricacy of the designs and the beautiful colors.

Frank Lloyd Wright – Craftsman Style – Mission Style Stained Glass Panels

If you live in a house dating from 1900 to 1930s, it may be of the American Arts and Crafts style which includes Mission and Craftsman architecture. Frank Lloyd Wright is the best known of this style which was a reaction to the elaborate and heavily decorated homes of the Victorian era. The panels shown below are perfect to feature in your Mission style home. Even if you don’t own such a period home, you can love and display the art from that time.

It’s been years since I toured the Frank Lloyd Wright designed home, Falling Water, in Pennsylvania. I still remember how impressed I was with his use of space and how delightful it was to see the stained glass used in some interior doors of that stunning residence.

Other Sizes and Artists

No matter what style you like, a variety of artists have translated it into glass rather than as oil paint on canvas. You can hang a large panel as a visual divider between your kitchen and the breakfast room. Some prefer to hang it in a window so reflected light during the day highlights to art. Here’s a further sampling of stained glass either in panels or in the smaller suncatchers which are easy to fit into the budget.
