If you are looking for a five-star experience, you have found it with this generous tome! You get twenty-five fantastic drawings, each one repeated twice, for a total of fifty coloring pictures. Each drawing is printed on only one side of the paper, which is always an appreciated feature with coloring books.

This book is especially suitable for coloring with pencils. Some wet methods may bleed through the paper, which is on the thinner side as coloring books go. This is certainly something to keep in mind when deciding which books to purchase!

Coloring Memories

These coloring books remind me of lying on the floor at my grandmother’s house, coloring with my sister. We would often walk to the dime store and buy whatever new color books they had in stock. If we were lucky, we also got a new box of crayons. If not, we could always use the shoe box full of colors Grandmother kept in her big pantry closet.

We would lie prone on her green, scratchy carpet, filling the blank spaces in with the prettiest colors we could find in either the new box or the old. In time the outline would begin springing to life, as we filled the illustrations with the beautiful hues from our crayons.

I don’t know whatever happened to that old shoe box filled with decades of crayons. It was a treasure box, full of potential!
